DIGITAL CONTROLS AND DYNAMIC SYSTEMS

PID and Observer Control

The main project for my Digital Controls and Dynamic Systems class was to create different control systems. I worked in a team of two and we successfully completed this assignment.

We :

  • Used LabVIEW, Myrio (National Instruments), DC motors and encoders

  • Created a PID Control to send the DC motor to a specific location 

  • Created an observer control to smooth the motor's movement.

Here is a video of our PID Control. We tell the motor to go to a specific location and you can see it's behavior and the graph of it's position :
