ROBOTIC ARM

A robotic arm that can write our initials

This is the second project I made for my Advanced Robotics course at Tufts University. The assignment was to make a robotic arm that can write my and my partners' initials.


This is the first time I used kinematics for a robot. Our arm uses inverse kinematics to write autonomously. We feed the robot with an equation of a line to follow and inverse kinematics converts the line into specific angles on the shoulder and elbow servos. We 3D printed a base for the arm and used Raspberry Pi to control the servos.


I will attach a picture, a video and the code we created.
